Teaming with heavy music authority Sumerian Records, firebrand Boundaries has announced their signing with the label and introduced their next era with the release of the obliterating new track, "Skies cast amber black".

Teaming with producer Drew Fulk, the single is a chaotic, confrontational entry that asserts the band's corrosive meld of metallic hardcore, fueled by a unrelenting aggression and pure antagonism. Vocalist Matthew McDougal explained the vitriol at the heart of the track.

“I have a deep desire in the pit of my making to surround and suffocate the growing plague of people’s self-interest. Given the chance, I’d remove every ego from the music landscape and burn it off for fuel to power blood hungry behemoths whose only goal is to crush and disable. This song is my plea to cleanse a community I adore of people who see it only as an opportunity or a stepping stone.”

The single arrives as the first offering of new music from Boundaries, following the breakout success of their 2024 full length, Death Is Little More. Ushering in the band's current era, the single also previews a busy touring slate for the band with a supporting run with The Amity Affliction and August Burns Red across North American kicking off next month. The band is also confirmed for several key European festivals including Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring, Download, and Jera on Air. Domestically, Boundaries will also be featured at the Vans Warped Tour as well as Louder Than Life later this year. See a list of confirmed dates below.
