Louisiana brutalizers BRAT have shared the third and final preview ahead of the September 25th arrival of their sophomore full length, Manslayer. Following the breakout success of the band's impactful debut LP, Social Grace, Manslayer finds the NOLA unit better equipped and singularly-focused on further building out their brand of Southern-fried savagery.
Taking style points and inspo cues from country anthems like “Goodbye Earl” by The Chicks, “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood, or “Gunpowder & Lead” by Miranda Lambert., frontwoman Liz Selfish fronts a metallic assault that doubles down on the notion that hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn.
Launching the assault thus far with entries including the album's visceral title track and the burly "Trophy Hunting," "Speculum Bleed" serves as the third and final preview of the album, touting plenty of death metal punch and putridity. Pairing explicit themes with hostile composition, the track and accompanying music video make for an over-the-top homage to the greats of the genre in Cannibal Corpse.
In support of the pending release, BRAT are currently out on the MANSLAYER Tour. Along with headlining dates, the band will also be supporting legends GWAR and Weedeater for select dates. A current itinerary can be found below.
