Hardcore outliers Candy recently dropped the follow-up to their lauded 2022 sophomore release, Heaven Is Here, with their third and arguably most ambitious effort to date, It's Inside You.
Principle songwriter and Candy guitarist Michael Quick worked closely with contemporary and collaborator Ben Greenberg of Uniform and Kurt Ballou at God City Studios to craft a caustic mesh of audio aggression - compiling 12 tracks that blur the lines between various subcategories of metallic mastery.
Candy worked collectively with the likes of Aaron Melnick of Integrity, Justice Tripp of Angel Du$t, and Trapped Under Ice, David Gagliardi of Trash Talk and Marisa Shriar of Fleshwater among others to fully explore the true potential of their artistry. The Relapse Records release is anchored by punchy dynamics, well-placed programming and pummeling compositions that position the album as one of the best of the year thus far.
In support of the release, Candy has announced plans to embark on a 19-date stretch across North America for the It's Inside You Tour slated for September and October this fall. The run will begin September 19th in Long Island, NY and wrap October 12th in Richmond, VA. The tour will also feature a diverse line-up of support with Jivebomb and Taraneh coming along for the ride. Additional support from Extinguish, Gumm and ZULU will take on select dates.
Ahead of the stretch of touring dates, CANDY will celebrate their labum release with a show in Lake Como, New Jersey on July 6th with Everybody Gets Hurt, Division of Mind, Final Resting Place, Sector, and Last Man Out. Later this month, CANDY is set to join The Dillinger Escape Plan at New York City’s Brooklyn Paramount on June 21st and June 23rd for a pair of sold out Calculating Infinity shows.
It's Inside You is now available via Relapse Records. Order the album - HERE
