Florida firebrand Chained Saint has submitted another fiery preview from their forthcoming EP, Rise to Fall. Coming away from an energized set at Louder Than Life this weekend, the band have shared a hostile new music video for the single, "Punk".
Channeling the band's foundation of thrash and punk rock, the two-minute jaunt showcases Chained Saint's meld of force and skill. Swift guitars, confrontational vocals from Sean Sterling and a throttling backbeat from drummer Cameron Cottrell make for a powerful preview.
"We all know a punk in our lives," the band explained of the track. "That person who talks big, plays fake, and eventually shows you exactly who they are. 'Punk' is about that person, and yeah, this one’s personal. The song is fast, ferocious, and over in 1:52 because that pace matches the anger and intensity behind it. It breaks them down and spits them out like the punk they are."
The latest single follows the arrival of "Snakeskin," a charging first offering that introduced the EP and underscored the band's serious heft. Rise to Fall was produced by Chained Saint along with Rob Roy and features artwork from guitarist Ethan Kahn.
