Chiodos Reveal First New Single In More Than A Decade, "Tapdat"

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

The track begins a new chapter for the band as they commence their campaign with SharpTone Records.

Following a massive resurgence for post-hardcore heroes Chiodos that began in 2024 with the 20th anniversary of the beloved All's Well That Ends Well, the band is now looking toward the future with the start of a pivotal new chapter. Chiodos have announced their recent signing to SharpTone Records and have revealed their first submission of new music in over a decade.

Working in close collaboration with producer Keith Sorrells (Demi Lovato, Jutes, Kami Kehoe) Chiodos roars back with "Tapdat". Defined by frenetic guitars, dynamic percussion and frontman Craig Owens broad vocal range, the single is a powerful reiteration of Chiodos' sound and forceful start of their modern era.

"There is still so much work to be done to build out the world of Chiodos. TAPDAT is the first step in that direction," confides Craig Owens. "Its return to our ethos is what drew me back to creating with this band, and you can feel it throughout every minute of the song. An unapologetic, experimental ride that pulls you in every step of the way. As for the future of Chiodos, I'm surrounded by incredible talent. We are stronger, more focused than ever and eager to continue the story I've been waiting 12 years to tell."

Along with the launch via SharpTone Records and the delivery of new music, Chiodos is set to begin a lengthy North American headlining tour later this month. With support from  Second Harbour, Sace6 and 156/Silence the run will give fans the chance to experience the band's essentials as well as intensity of "Tapdat" live.
