Coal Chamber Cancels Fiend for the Fans Tour

Coal Chamber Cancels Fiend for the Fans Tour

- By Ramon Gonzales

Frontman Dez Farfara expressed gratitude for the fans and explained that his health will not allow him to give it his all at this time.

Following a few updates and schedule changes for Coal Chamber, it looks as though the Fiend for the Fans headlining tour is now officially done.

Following the band's resurgence in 2023 including a support spot with Mudvayne and a handful of festivals appearances, the band was primed to hit it hard with a headlining run of their own. However, last summer, a medical emergency would render Coal Chamber frontman Dez Farfara unable to proceed with the run. As a result, their trek was rescheduled for spring of 2025, allowing for plenty of time for the vocalist to make a proper recovery.

With a line-up that saw Coal Chamber paired with industrial metal heavyweights Fear Factory as well as horrorcore practitioners Twiztid plus Black Satellite and Frayle confirmed for the rescheduled run - all systems seemed a go with additional dates being tacked onto the initial routing.

In a statement released this morning (January 15th) Coal Chamber frontman Dez Farfara has now confirmed that the tour is being scraped completely - with good reason.  Citing struggles with his in recent years, Farfara expressed gratitude to the fans for their continued support and his disappointment that the tours have fallen through. The frontman said that he is prioritizing his health and made the call to cancel because at this time, he is not able to give it 100%.

Hello everyone,

First off let me say that we are sending prayers to all who are affected in these terrible California wildfires.

We have many friends on evacuation or that have lost everything please donate or do what you can to help.

At this time, I will be taking down the scheduled touring this year until quarter 4 to focus on my health.

For everybody that has shown support and given me positive comments, sent our family prayers or contacted us with well wishes, I want to thank you so much. It means a great deal to not only myself but my family during this trying time.

I’ve had a very blessed life and in all lives some rain must fall and certainly over the last few years. It’s been stormy for my family and I with my health.

I’m looking forward to getting healthy. My attitude is positive and when I’m ready I’m gonna get back on the road harder than ever with both Coal Chamber and DevilDriver.

There are a lot of things in the works with both of those bands, but I won’t go over them now because I want to focus on this announcement and I wanted you guys to hear it straight from me.

To all those who supported me, been behind me, I’m so sorry that these tours have to come down but at this time I’m just not able to go do my job at 100%.

Love one another and be good to one another.

- Dez Fafara
