Bolstering the news of the band's pending the fourth full length album, Our Fates Lie In Tandem, metalcore powerhouse Currents have announced an extensive North American tour in support of the Rise Records release.
Set to launch February 19th in Boston, MA, the early 2027 trek will feature Currents showcasing selections from their new album which arrives just a week prior. Set to join Currents on the Our Fates Lie In Tandem tour, New Zealand-based firebrand Vana earns the direct support nod along with special guests Stick To Your Guns. Additional support on the tour will include the likes of Vanna and Dreamwake each taking on select dates.
The tour announcement follows last week's news of the Connecticut metalcore unit's signing to Rise Records and the pending February 2027 release of their fourth full length album, Our Fates Lie In Tandem. The presentation follows the impact of the band's 2023 LP, The Death We Seek and the 2025 EP, All That Follows, marking a pivotal new chapter for the genre veterans.
The album finds Currents guitarist Chris Wiseman serving as producer on the project. Working in collaboration with Ricky Armellino, the collection of tracks frames Currents as the most complete version of themselves to date.
“Putting this record together has been an intense, multi-year process that has challenged our existing framework of songwriting,” the band emphasized. “We took no shortcuts in building these songs up to be the best and most cohesive of our career. While it wasn’t quick or easy to make this album, watching and participating in this project, from demos to the final masters, has been such a satisfying and cathartic experience.”
