Composer extraordinaire Danny Elfman has announced plans to hit the road for an 11-date fall run of headlining dates folded in with his confirmed festival appearances. Set to perform at Shaky Knees in Atlanta, Louder Than Live in Lousiville and Aftershock in Sacramento this September and October, Elfman will also take on a handful of headlining shows as he travels across the U.S.
Confirming his ensemble cast of musicians set to join Elfman onstage, the likes of Nili Brosh of Dethklok and Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails and Guns N Roses will handle guitars. Matt McJunkins of A perfect Circle will take up the bass with venerated drummer Josh Freese sitting behind the kit.
Getting a little cryptic with the confirmation of the tour dates, Elfman pointed to 11:11, suggesting a nod to the pending rock album expected to arrive soon. Speculation has been building since Elfman was spotting in the studio along with luminaries like Slash of Guns N Roses and Wes Borland of Limp BIzkit.
