Set to embark on one of the most brutalizing tours of the upcoming fall season, blackened deathcore unit Ov Sulfur have dropped the final b-side from their acclaimed full length debut, The Burden Ov Faith.
The arrival of "Untruth" precedes the band's live campaign supporting Signs of the Swarm along with nu-aggressors Cane Hill, metallic hardcore pushers 156/Silence and blackened deathcore prospects, A Wake In Providence. The track underscores the band's visceral intensity and previews their pending onslaught set to launch nightly on the upcoming tour.
Speaking on the track and how it works into the storyline of The Burden Ov Faith, guitarist Chase Wilson offered, "It's funny that one of the first songs we started writing for the album is the last one we're dropping from the sessions.
Wilson further elaborated on the band's confrontational stance against religion - a theme that permeates throughout the record. "What you hear is what we settled on after many evolutions, with Ricky [Hoover/vocals] pleading with those who use religion as a crutch to realize they've been terribly misled. What will it take and when will we learn that we must burn every inch of the lie that has been instilled into us from a young age?"
The band's upcoming run on the The Decade of the Swarm Tour will mark Ov Sulfur's first live run since the touring co-headlining coup with label mates Mental Cruelty along with Ghost Bath and Extermination Dismemberment. The tour is among the most anticipated of the year and kicks off this week. A complete list of dates and cities can be found below. Get tickets - HERE
