Update: Deftones have confirmed the release of what appears to be a single with a collab post with Spotify flashing "my mind is a mountain" over what appears to be the latest upcoming single. Followed by the flashing of "today 3pm PT/6pm ET"
The added excitement follows the band's recent European stint, that included a last minute cancellation due to illness at Glastonbury and an epic headlining set at London's Crystal Palace Park that showcased a career-spanning set and a supporting performance from Weezer.
In addition to the current teaser campaign that has populated the band's feed over the last few days, Deftones have been leaving Easter eggs that all seem to point to this release. Illuminating the trail, NME reported that following Deftones projected an image that read, “Private Music”, along with “X.VII.MMXXV distributed by Deftones, all rights reserved.”. The Roman numerals translate to July 10 2025.
Deftones are seemingly teasing new music for July 10th.

As for the next offering from Deftones, the yet unconfirmed album will mark the follow-up to their universally acclaimed 2020 epic, OHMS, a release that commanded most year-ending Best Of lists as one of the most important works on the year and of the band's storied career.
