Marking a decade of collaboration with San Diego craft beer brewery Belching Beaver, Deftones have been working in close partnership with the brand since 2016, when the first Phantom Bride IPA rolled off the line. In the years since, the brewery has become closely linked with the band, delivering a series of celebrated collaboration beers, each taking inspiration from the band's catalog and translating that into various styles of beer.
The latest release is prime example of the working relationship between the two entities. Unveiling their 'milk of the madonna' horchata blonde ale, the style takes cues from Deftones latest album, Private Music, by playing off one of the standout tracks on the record. The can artwork also nods to the record with a serpent and a bold, gold colorway that makes the can undeniable.
The brewery introduced the latest in the collaboration series which arrives in California January 30th and begins wider distribution in the next few weeks.
