The track follows last month's album announcement and lead single reveal, "my mind is a mountain". 

Deftones remain on track to deliver a serious contender for album of the year with Private Music. Last month, the band delivered their first entry of new music since 2020's universally acclaimed OHMS, with the towering single, "my mind is a mountain". The single garnered instant acclaim as fans old and new began the countdown to the August 22nd due date of the album. 

The Warner/Reprise release once again finds the band collaborating with producer Nick Raskulinecz who also oversaw both Diamond Eyes in 2010 and Koi No Yokan in 2012. For the latest preview of the album, Deftones have debuted a second showing of mastery with "milk of the madonna". Combining Chino Moreno's vocal soar, a driving percussive cadence from Abe Cunningham and the elegantly heavy guitars of Stephen Carpenter, the second single from album 10 is an absolute masterclass. 

 

Coinciding with the release of Private Music, Deftones will set out on the second leg of their North American tour. The arena run will feature support from Phantogram and IDLES will take on select dates of the run as direct support with The Barbarians of California opening each night. 

The second leg is slated to begin album release day August 22nd in Vancouver, BC and wraps September 17th in Kansas City, MO. Additionally, Deftones have been confirmed for a handful of important festival plays including Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY this September, Aftershock in their hometown of Sacramento later this fall as well as their annual Dia De Los Deftones festival set for this November. 

Additionally, Deftones will begin 2026 with a massive European tour due to begin in January. The trek will feature support from Denzel Curry and Drug Church, starting out in Paris on January 29th. The finale will land in London at The O2 on February 20th.
