In a year full of important triumphs for Deftones, this might be one of the best. 

During the band's homecoming at Aftershock earlier this fall, Deftones ensured they showed all the love to the community that raised them. The band Invited youth soccer team Los Jagures from the neighborhood of Oak Park out as their special guests for Deftones set at the festival. 

What the team didn't know, is that Deftones would be doing significantly more than putting on a show. Teaming with Soccer authority Goal Projects, Deftones have become an official sponsor of the team. The band has designed a pair of custom jerseys and an official game ball which the team will use as part of their kits for upcoming season. 

The band spoke about the importance of home and how the move was about giving back to their community. "Sales of the collection support los jaguares, a team of boys and girls ages 11-14 from oak park - the same neighborhood that shaped us. every order helps keep soccer free for the kids and supports programs that help them on and off the field."
