Demon Hunter Join Forces With Z2 Comics to Release 'Exile' Graphic Novel

The collection pools Ryan Clark's post-apocalyptic series that first debuted as a four-part comic initially published in 2022.

Publishing authority Z2 Comics has teamed with Demon Hunter to revisit vocalist Ryan Clark's immersive, dystopian civilization comic book series epic, Exile. The series was first published as a four-part installment back in 2022 and is now being released as a deluxe edition, packaged along with a new vinyl 7”, featuring the tracks “I Align”, “The Brink”, “Some Of Us”, and “World’s Apart.”

The story penned by Clark imagines a post=apocalyptic future where society is subservient to tech and authoritarianism is absolute with an organization called M.A.S., ruling with an iron fist. The story also spotlights the rebellion of the Last of the Undying Spirit - or LOTUS - and their attempt to restore humanity and preserve the legacy of their collective humanity.

“Teaming up with Z2 to release this special hardcover edition of EXILE has been an absolute pleasure,” says Clark. “The team at Z2 has been incredible to work with, and it’s an honor to collaborate with a company so respected and beloved in the world of comics. Collecting all four issues into one volume—along with some extra bells and whistles—feels like the perfect way to celebrate the full scope of this story and the EXILE album.”

“Watching Ryan’s story come to life was thrilling. After the issues quickly sold out, it became clear that a proper deluxe collected edition was in order,” says longtime Demon Hunter manager Ryan J Downey. “Z2’sunderstanding of music and comics is unrivaled, something I know from working with them as a writer. It made perfect sense to partner with them.”

The deluxe edition release of Exile is available exclusively as a 12” Deluxe format collection, with four 24” posters and an exclusive Orange 7-inch featuring four songs, previously only issued on flexi-disc in “I Align,” and the digital release of “The Brink,” “Some Of Us,” and “World’s Apart.”
