Down Recruit Helmet for the Strap It Down North American Summer Tour

The run will include a confirmed supporting date with Slayer in Minnesota and an appearance at Zakk Wylde's Berzerkus Festival featuring Lamb Of God, Black Label Society and more. 

New Orleans OGs DOWN have announced plans to trek across the US and select Canadian markets for a run of headlining dates on the Strap It Down tour. Enlisting Helmet along with Spirit In the Room, the tour begins August 15th in Atlanta, GA and leads into the band's appearance supporting Slayer in Minnesota on September 4th with Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed. 

The headlining dates add to DOWN's healthy touring slate that also includes prominent festival performances at Aftershock in Sacramento, Sick New World in Fort Worth, TX and a play at Decibel Metal And Beer Fest in Denver, CO this December. 

The announcement of the Strap It Down Tour follows last month's confirmation of the Nuclear Blast Records release of the remastered edition of  the band's 2007's matserclass, Over The Under. DOWN’s third studio album was produced by Warren Riker and arrived in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. 

 

Tickets for the Strap It Down Tour featuring DOWN, HELMET and Spirit In the Room go on sale starting May 29th at 10am local time. Ahead of the general on sale, KNOTFEST.com os giving readers the chance to access pre-sale tickets starting May 28th at 12pm ET until 10pm local. Fans can use the code - KFDOWN26 - to get tickets ahead of the rest of the public.
