In a show of solidarity, regional pride and generational punk kinship, Massachusetts lineage have joined forces as Dropkick Murphys have teamed with surging hardcore hitters Haywire for a 12" split EP.
Going from tourmates to comrades, the collaborative project finds each band issuing three new original songs and a cover rendition of one of each other's tracks as a tip of the hat. Haywire recorded Dropkick Murphys’ “The Boys Are Back” and Dropkick Murphys recorded Haywire’s “Always By My Side.”
The 12" split will be available exclusively at the upcoming dates of the For The People…In The Pit St. Patrick’s Day Tour. The run begins February 9th and wraps March 17th with five consecutive nights in Boston - continuing an annual tradition for Dropkick.
Among the highlights of the split project include Dropkick Murphys’ “Citizen I.C.E.” - a reimagined version of th 2005 classic “Citizen C.I.A." Dropkick previewed the track with a compelling video that highlight the tragic shooting off Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis last week. See the video - HERE
