- By Ramon Gonzales -->

Get the details on the album that was completed just weeks before he tragic loss of Adam Ramey.

Earlier this year, Arizona unit Dropout Kings endured the massive loss of their founding frontman and brother in arms, Adam Ramey. Reeling from the loss, the tragedy was further emphasized with the reality that Ramey succumbed to his ongoing battle with addiction and took his own life.

He was just 31 years old at the time of his passing.

As a testament to the enduring spirit of Ramey and his lasting contributions as a driving force in Dropout Kings, the band has announced a fitting tribute to their fallen brother with the confirmation of a new, full length album, Yokai. Arriving digitally August 8th via Napalm Records, the album was completed by Ramey just weeks prior his heartbreaking departure back in May.

A potent meld of nu-metal edge with rap-rock DNA, Dropout Kings have cultivated a passionate following among those in the know. On Yokai, the band cements their legacy as tastemakers and forward-thinkers in the space of heavy music, showcasing a broad range of influences and a creativ synergy spearheaded by the vision of Ramey and his collaborators.

The band shared of the latest full length and it's homage to Ramey's legacy:

"It’s with an incredible mix of emotion and devotion that we announce the release of our new album, Yokai, on August 8th!

However, so much more than just new music, this album is our greatest dedication to the late legend, new father and cherished brother, Adam Ramey. Not just entertainment, but a testimony to the ambition, struggle, pain and indomitable will that has made the Dropout Kings who they are. Not only a journey into the hearts and souls of the band during a time of their greatest loss as well as the experience of Trap Metal’s evolution, but the soundtrack to the realization of dreams and the defeat of nightmares across the world.

We ask that you to listen, enjoy and join us in the mission of not just uplifting and remembering the spirit of one of the best men we’ll ever know, but in creating a better world so that those like you, him and us can LIVE better and with brighter futures ahead.”

Yokai arrives digitally on August 8th from Napalm Records with physical versions landing  later in the fall. Each physical version was designed and curated to honor Adam's creative vision and unwavering passion. Check the artwork and tracklisting below. Pre-order the album - HERE
