Empire State Bastard Announce Inaugural Bastard Fest

Empire State Bastard Announce Inaugural Bastard Fest

- By Ramon Gonzales

The mini-festival will feature sets from Heriot, Conjurer, Pupil Slicer and more.

The extreme metal passion project from Simon Neil and Mike Vennart of Biffy Clyro, are coming off a recent triumph of a US tour supporting Sleep Token for a succession of sold out shows. Among the stops on the acclaimed trek included a pair of prestigious performances, with sets at both Radio City Music Hall in New York and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver.

Harnessing that momentum, Empire State Bastard has announced plans to hold court of their own mini-festival, confirming the inaugural Bastard Fest set for July 13th in Sheffield. Along with a headlining set from Empire State Bastard, the band has tapped a stellar supporting cast for the special event.

Guests confirmed to perform at the first ever Bastard Fest include the likes of Heriot, Conjurer, Pupil Slicer and Hidden Mothers - assembling some of heavy music's most intriguing, forward-thinking prospects emerging from the UK.

The announcement adds to a busy festival season for Empire State Bastard. In addition to their recent Heavy Music Award nominations including Best Breakthrough Album for their 2023 debut Rivers of Heresy, the band will be appearing at Copenhell in Denmark, Graspop in Belgium, Tons of Rock in Norway and Evil Live in Portugal all this month alone.

Bastard Fest will follow the band's appearance at 2000Trees in Cheltenham, UK next month. Tickets for Bastard Fest are set to go on sale June 20th at 10am BST. See the list of remaining dates for Empire State Bastard below. Get tickets to Bastard Fest - HERE
