In a very personable statement shared to their socials, Enter Shikari has confirmed their plans to fall dormant as a band at the close of 2027. Recently, band archityect Rou Reynolds shared a video message to his platform, confinding personal health struggles and detailing the band's slowed pace in 2026. He would go onto share that he was uncertain of what the future looked like for Enter Shikari - though now the immediate future seems clear.

Enter Shikari expressed that at the end of 2027, the band will “fall dormant as a recording and performing entity”. The statement also left the door open for anything and everything with regards to Enter Shikari. “This dormancy may eventually end with an eruption back into activity, or may end with extinction. We have no idea which."

Framing the longevity of the band, the statement made mention of the pending 20th anniversary of Enter Shikari's debut album, Take to the Skies in an effort to frame just how long the collective have been at it. Even with the explanation of the band's end game, Enter Shikari also teased new music on the horizon.

With a slate of festival appearance on the calendar, in addition to some of the band's biggest EU/UK shows to date, Enter Shikari have expressed that they intend to make this final go 'round something memorable, “If that ends up being the last time some people see us, we want to make it special.”

The band continued, “We’re genuinely excited to make next year a celebration of what this band means to us. But after that it’ll be time to go away for a good while and see what being Rou, Rob, Rory and Chris, and not ‘Enter Shikari’, feels like."
