Wasting little time in resting on their laurels, progressive metalcore unit ERRA have issued a new single "Gore of Being," as the follow-up to their well-received 2024 full length, CURE. 

A potent meld of precision and power, the track emphasizes the band's brand of well-produced pummel, anchored by hefty guitars, dynamic percussion and the tandem assault of J.T. Cavey and Jesse Cash splitting vocals. 

"'Gore of Being' started as an idea that Clint brought into the studio and marks his first songwriting contribution to the band," ERRA explained in a statement. 

"Lyrically, 'Gore of Being' turned out to be a musing on mortality. Despite not writing the lyrics, Clint later had a conversation with Jesse connecting the serendipity between the lyrics and the working title Clint had for the instrumental, which related to his dad's sudden and tragic passing. The song's context took a new shape from there, becoming a catharsis and being that much more special to the band."

The arrival of "Gore of Being" lands with the promise of yet another pending single from ERRA later this summer, as "Echo Sonata" is expected to land later this month. The delivery of the second track is expected to align with the band's launch of their supporting run with Architects across North America later this month. See the list of dates and cities below.
