Relentless New England disruptors Escuela Grind continue their march toward the January 12th arrival of the final EP in their planned trilogy, DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL.
The arrival of the final EP in the series completes the effort that began back in 2020 with the debut of 'PPOOWWEERRVVIIOOLLEENNCCEE' and 'GGRRIINNDDCCOORREE' - serving as tribute to the variety of stylistic influences that have resulted in the band's assaultive combination.
For the latest preview from the EP, Escuela Grind join forces with one of their predecessors, teaming with Barney Greenway of Napalm Death for the ripper, "Meat Magnet". Working with director Michael Jari Davidson, the visual frames Greenway and Escuela Grind vocalist Katerina Economou spewing venomous stanzas, combined with live footage that underscores the volatility at the core of the music.
Offering some insight to the collaboration, Greenway provided the kind of cosign the positions Escuela Grind as the net to assume the throne. "Meat Magnet' is a pretty crunchy sort of track, and I was able to really wrap my vocal cords around it," Greenway said. "Enthusiasm oozes out of the pores of Escuela Grind. How can you not get on board with that?"
"'DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL' is the third installment of our EP series where we dive into the genres that most influence this band," shared vocalist Katerina Economou."Finishing this trilogy has been years in the works. We are so excited to release these songs as they are perhaps the best reflection of our live performance. The stage has honed these hectic songs to perfection."
Additionally, Escuela Grind have solidified their rep as one of the hardest working bands in the game. Coinciding with the release of their next EP, the band is hitting the road for an extensive 39-date headlining trek which kicks off January 10th and concludes February 17th in Boston, MA. The run will include rotating support from Take Offense, Come Meirda, Slow Pulse, Bonginator, Frog Mallet, and Brat.
