Metalcore stalwarts Fit For A King have announced the August 1st due date for their eighth full length studio album, Lonely God. The news follows a healthy, hefty rollout that included the debut of walloping singles like "Technium" featuring Landon Tewers of The Plot In You and the epic "No Tomorrow" - a cut that soundtracked the existential brink.

Working with producer Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox), FFAK further bolden their stylistic signature, amplifying their meld of aggressive guitars, Ryan Kirby's explosive vocals and the kind of punchy, well-polished metalcore that has defined the band for well over the last decade. This time however, FFAK spoke about how Lonely God marked an important revival for the collective, one that allowed their to get the proverbial monkey off their backs.

Ryan Kirby explained, "Lonely God is the result of us writing with no agendas. We didn't care about which song could be viral, or if we needed radio tracks, etc. We just wrote what we wanted, for the first time, in a really long time."

Kirby also articulated the collaborative value of the album and how that is especially indicative of the band's growth.  "All five of us have our fingerprints on this album. We found a way to balance our voices. We've always been genuine with the lyrics, and that's the case again. There’s so much heart behind all of the instrumentation too. There’s definitely a lot of growth because our bond is tighter than ever."

Delivering another powerful reminder of the band's prowess, FFAK have shared the title track for the album. Anchored by a hostile showing from Ryan Kirby set to relentless guitars and a massive instrumental build-up - "Lonely God" suggests FFAK are operating at their new peak. Kirby explained, "In general, 'Lonely God' relates to the pursuit of power. They're trading companionship, relationships, and love for power and money. You may have all of the power and be a 'God,' but it's a lonely spot because the world despises you."

Lonely God arrives as the long-awaited follow-up the FFAK's 2022 full length, The Hell We Create. Along with the new collection of songs and the oversight of Braunstein, FFAK has shown they continue to unlock new strengths though well into their tenure as metalcore OGs. The new album lands August 1st via Solid State Records and features guest spots from Lochie Keogh of Alpha Wolf and Chris Motionless for a serious flex of added firepower.
