The expanded edition of the band's acclaimed eighth studio album will feature three new tracks.

Metalcore purveyors Fit For A King have announced the October 30th release of the deluxe edition of their praised eighth full length, Lonely God. Hailed as one of the most impactful release of 2025, the project was produced by Daniel Braunstein and well-received both critically and commercially.

“All five of us have our fingerprints on this album,” explained frontman Ryan Kirby. “We found a way to balance our voices. We’ve always been genuine with the lyrics, and that’s the case again. There’s so much heart behind all of the instrumentation too. There’s definitely a lot of growth because our bond is tighter than ever.”

Kirby added, “It was the longest break we’ve taken between releases, so we had a ton of ideas,” recalls Ryan. “The time allowed us to find everyone’s role. It’s the first record where we all have our stamp. There was no ulterior motive to appeal to radio, social media, or whatever. We went back and listened to Dark Skies, Slave to Nothing, and Creation/Destruction to see where our heads were at. Afterwards, we just cut loose and focused on writing music we loved. There wasn’t any fear; it was all excitement.”

For the expanded edition of the album, Fit For A King have submitted three unreleased tracks from the comprehensive sessions that would become Lonely God. "Steady Doom," ‘Blood Pact" and "Dirt" add to the depth of the album that remains one of FFAK's most complete offerings to date.

Issued with the announcement, the band has revealed the music video for "Dirt," a drubbing metalcore heater complete with sharp production, sure-handed instrumentation and the convincing charge of Ryan Kirby.

The vocalist shared, “'Dirt' is about struggling to accept fault for any of your failures. And creating stories of how others lead to your downfall are speeding up the inevitable destruction of your hopes and dreams.”
