Fleshwater continue to ramp up for what is building to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Coming off of a pivotal touring run supporting Deftones and The Mars Volta the band recently confirmed a new full length album. 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky marks the eagerly-awaited follow-up to the universal acclaim and breakout success of 2022's We're Not Here to Be Loved.
The album is set to arrive September 5th via Closed Casket Activities and further underscores the band's competent meld of heft and melody, combining elements of riff-forward alt and nostalgic shoegaze - making for a collection of sturdy, soaring tracks.
The album was constructed across several locations as Fleshwater continued to refine the songs amidst a consistent touring schedule. Tracking guitars and bass at God City Studio with Kurt Ballou and Zach Weeks, drums were tracked by Kevin Bernstein at Mag Pie Recording Studio.
The band recorded their own vocals ensuring their DIY ethic is still very much integral to Fleshwater. Additionally, David Haik of Pianos Become The Teeth played drums on the album, creating even more dynamic on a collection of songs that are layered and lush.
F
ollowing the introduction of the album with the emphatic lead single, "Jetpack," Fleshwater have reiterated the power of the pending album with the second single, "Last Escape". A masterful combination of high-octane and harmony, the track is a bold assertion of heavy music's modern wave and a testament to the limitless creative ceiling for the band.
Following the September 5th arrival of the new album, Fleshwater will head out on their North American headlining tour with support from Angel Du$t and Chat Pile. A current list of confirmed dates and cities can be found below. Tickets are available - HERE
