Fugitive, the band spearheaded by Power Trip guitarist Blake Ibanez and fronted by vocalist Seth Gilmore, have announced their signing to Blue Grape Music. Joining the roster alongside Spiritual Cramp, Superheaven and the recently acquired Gridiron, Fugitive have commenced their new era with the release of their first showing of new material since 2023.
"Spheres of Virulence" showcases the band's classic sensibilities, sourcing timeless thrash, crossover and early death top concoct a potent mesh of aggression, intensity and showmanship. Working alongside producer Tom Dalgety, "Spheres of Virulence" is anchored by the driving guitars of Ibanez, while Gilmore remains dominant out front with the performance that goes for the jugular.
The announcement of the new digs for Fugitive and the arrival of new music adds to the growing momentum of the band. They were recently confirmed as part of the massive return of the Summer Slaughter tour, joining rank with the likes of Hatebreed, Malevolence, Gridiron, Escuela Grind and Incite - to represent ehavy music's thriving new school.
"Spheres of Virulence" follows the band's initial acclaim back in 2022 with the introduction of their self-released Maniac EP. The following year, Fugitive dropped the relentless two-track Blast Furnace release, amplifying their stock as one of metal's most buzzworthy, bulldozing units.
