'Bama brutalizers Gideon have announced their recent signing to heavy music authority Sumerian Records.Embarking on a new chapter following the breakout success of their 2023 LP, More Power. More Pain,.the band have also released their first showing of new music with the label with the statement single with the Ryan Leitru co-produced, "'Til the Wheels Fall Off".
Speaking to the start if the new partnership and how the single appropriately ties in, the band shared their enthusiasm to get to work in a statement. “We’ve always done things our way, and Sumerian Records believed in the vision. This song is a tribute to the miles behind us and the road ahead. We’re not here for a pit stop—we’re here to break the speedometer. With Sumerian in the passenger seat, we’re going ‘Til the Wheels Fall Off.’”
The recent development lands as Gideon further prove their commitment to the road. The band is currently on tour with Miss May I, Soulkeeper and Dreamwake and will follow that run up with a trek opposite UnityTX later this summer. To round out a pivotal 2025, Gideon is always confirmed on the highly-anticipated Kublai Khan TX tour with DRAIN and Guilt Trip crossing North America this fall.
