Set to begin their highly anticipated run supporting Hatebreed on the Summer Slaughter Tour, Gridiron continue to steamroll the scene with yet another offering from their full length debut, Poetry From Pain.
The album arrived late May and marked the band's arrival via Blue Grape Music. Featuring a collective members from Never Ending Game, Simulakra, and Scarab, while melding the hardcore DNA of Philly, Delaware and the greater Michigan scenes, Gridiron have quickly become one of hardcore's fastest rising outfits.
Following effective showings with "Mascot," "Still Playin For Keeps" featuring Daniel Son, Pro Dillinger, + Jay Royale and the brass tacks of "Talk Real" and "26/9" - Gridiron combines hip hop swagger with hardcore hostility to craft a sound that strikes with serious impact.
For the latest offering from Poetry from Pain, the band have shared a new clip for the track, "Heavy Metal Money (Seen It All Before)" featuring Big Body Bes. Showcasing serious bravado set to a bulldozing cadence to soundtrack the pit, the track and new music video emphasize Gridiron's stylistic signature.
Gridiron's touring slate continues following highlight sets at Tied Down Detroit as well as supporting dates with Power Trip, Sanguisugabogg and 200 Stab Wounds and an appearance at Sonic Temple in Ohio earlier this spring.
Next week, Gridiron will be part of the return of the Summer Slaughter Tour along with Hatebreed, Fugitive, Malevolence, Escuela Grind, Snuffed On Sight and Incite. See the complete list of dates below.
