Last month, organizers for Syracuse's Endless Fires Festival unveiled the first wave of artists confirmed for the two-day celebration of underground music and art. Set for August 15th and 16th, the festival spans hip-hop, punk and hardcore for a multi-genre event that bridges generations of fans.
Anchored by veteran names like Three 6 Mafia and Project Pat from the world of hip hop, hardcore legends are also front and center with confirmed sets from the likes of American Nightmare, Comeback Kid, and Madball.
The bill also prominently features punk icons like Circle Jerks along with metallic aggressors like E. Town Concrete, Lionheart with an exclusive East Coast performance, Gridiron, Eighteen Visions and more.
For the most recent addition to the Endless Fires line-up, the Scumdogs of the Universe in GWAR have been added to the festivities. X-Cops have also been confirmed for the summer slam at Sharkey's Event Center.
"Endless Fires is both a return and a rebirth," says founder Keith Allen.
"It is a celebration of the underground music scene based in upstate NY, and centered in Syracuse, in the form of a multi-day, summertime festival. Years ago, we had such a fest that was the highlight for a thriving hardcore, metal and punk rock music scene. Often imitated but never recreated, the lore and the legacy of that fest are infamous. Here we are, some decades later, rekindling the flame and bringing back that tradition. The fire has never gone out and now it's going to burn brighter than ever before. Welcome to Endless Fires.
