Alternative rock contemporaries Higher Power have shared the news of their recent addition to the Nuclear Blast Records roster. Establishing their footing as one of hardcore's most engaging, well-rounded music makers, the band's meld of shoegaze, grunge, punk and thrash has set them apart from the pack.
Coupled with the news of the band's signing to their new label, Higher Power have debuted a fresh single in the hook-heavy "Absolute Bloom". Furnishing big melody and deft composition, the track emphasizes just why the Leeds-based collective is among the leaders of alt's new school.
Speaking on the latest cut vocalist Jimmy Wizard confided the individual significance of the track, "I’m super excited to release this song. It’s really personal to me in this transitional period of my life, about wanting a deeper more meaningful connection to the real world and not quite being equipped to do so, but finding hope and figuring it out. The music reflects that with a song that's so big and upbeat.”
Higher Power are currently trekking across North America supporting Neck Deep and hardcore champs, Drain. Additionally, The band have confirmed appearances at both Northern Unfest and Outbreak Festival set for later this year. See the list of live dates below.
