Set to debut their fourth full length presentation, I Prevail has confirmed the September 19th arrival of Violent Nature. The Fearless Records full length serves as a pivotal moment for the veteran aggressors, marking the first LP to feature Eric Vanlerberghe as the sole vocalist for the band. In addition, the album was produced entirely by bassist, Jon Eberhard, making for a truly hands-on project from concept to execution.
Introducing the band's next era with effective singles in "Into Hell" and the album's title track, the band asserted a new level of focus and craftsmanship that ensured their new configuration was the future of I Prevail. Aligning with the announcement of the new album, the band have shared a third serving from the full length, with the emotive track, "Rain".
Showcasing a standout performance from Vanlerberghe that underscores his position at the helm of the band, the track is an emotional powerhouse that features technical prowess and proficient songwriting - suggesting I Prevail has achieved a new creative peak. Coupled with the visual directed by Orie McGinness, "Rain" offers a promising glimpse of the future for the band.
Eric Vanlerberghe offered his take on the single and why it holds a special place for the vocalist on the new album. “Rain was one of the first songs we wrote for the record. As time went along and more songs started filling up the tracklist, it continued to be one of my favorite songs. Thematically, Rain deals with acceptance of things out of your control and finding clarity.”
