Following a breakout 2024 that saw Imminence release their universally acclaimed album, The Black and head an impressive touring slate that saw sold out headlining shows across Europe, the U.S. and Australia - the band have ratcheted up their charge going into 2025.
Debuting the band's newest entry, "Death Shall Have No Dominion" the track showcases a elegant, equally epic meld of Scandinavian death and black metal. The signature collision of string arrangements, violin melodies, massive percussion and mammoth song dynamics all augmented with the standout showing from vocalist Eddie Berg make for a remarkable first offering in 2025.
Guitarist Harald Barrett spoke of the artistic ambition of the track, "Just when you might have thought that you knew what to expect, we turn around and give you a new single. And not any kind of single. I honestly don't think there has ever been a more extreme track coming from this band. We want to show you that The Black goes deeper and darker than you could ever imagine, and we intend to take you there with us."
The arrival of "Death Shall Have No Dominion" follows the success of the band's 10th anniversary re-release of their debut album, I. The Reclamation of I offered an impressive reintroduction to the band, anchored by a fresh mix and newly recorded vocals. The effort tallied millions of streams and vaulted the band to some of their biggest shows to date.
Along with the band's The Black Tour: Scandinavia 2025 in addition to The Return of The Black Tour: North America 2025, Imminence will perform their first European arena headline shows to close out 2025. Taking full advantage of the biggest stages, Imminence will unveil a mammoth production concept, "The Black Finale" which is expected to present the band and their epic soundtrack in a live experience that will be unlike any other.
