Kingdom of Giants Announce New Studio Album, 'Usurper'

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

Frontman Dana Willax shifts to producer as the band begins the run-up to their first full length release since 2020's, Passenger.

Metalcore standouts Kingdom of Giants have set a November 13th arrival date for their next full length presentation, Usurper. The album arrives via SharpTone Records and marks the arrival of the band's own Dana Willax pulling double duty, stepping into his role as the band's producer in addition to his lead as frontman.

The announcement of Usurper serves as Kingdom of Giants first full length release since 2020's acclaimed Passenger. Building on the band's sonic evolution with the EPs, Bleeding Star (2024) and Burning Chrome (2025), the latest full length aims to shed the band's growing pains and begin their most formative chapter yet.

Willax explained,  "The last five years have been full of highs, lows, wins, losses, and roadblocks but at the end of the day we are just so happy and fortunate to continue making music that we love and to share it with anyone who cares to listen. We put our hearts and souls into this album and even though start to finish it only took us eight months, it's feels like it's 15 years in the making. I'm so thankful to the guys for everything they brought to the table in this process. It felt good to all be jammed into one room and hash out all our ideas in person like the good old days."

Heralding the band's current form, Kingdom of Giants have shared the towering new single, "Reign". Anchored by convincing performances, assured composition and modern production and flair, the track flexes one of metalcore's most excitement contemporaries

Willax shared of "Reign", "This song has a couple of my favorite parts from the entire record, the breakdown in particular was very fun to mix and I'm hoping it hits live."

Riding out in support of the release of Usurper, Kingdom of Giants are set to trek with Deadlands, Holy Wars and Night Rider this fall. The trek begins November 14th in Seattle and closes out December 18th in Sacramento, CA. See a list of dates and cities below.
