Stream the walloping title track that revisits one of the band's most seismic hits.

Nu-metal trailblazers Kittie have confirmed their plans to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut release, Spit. Regarded as as pillar of the genre and one of the most referenced releases of the Y2K-era, Spit established the Canadian outfit as one of metal's most progressive, powerful units while going onto influence generations of fans in the decades since its debut.

Teaming with original producer Garth Richardson for the refresh, the SPIT XXV EP is due out September 19th via Sumerian Records and includes reimagined renditions of some of Kittie's most treasured tracks including, "Brackish," "Charlotte" and "Do You Think I'm a Whore." The current line-up touts founding sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander along with guitarist Tara McLeod and bassist Ivy Jenkins.

To begin the rollout for the revamped version, Kittie have shared a new music video helmed by William Felch of Wombat Fire that captures the original hostility of the title track. "Spit XXV" showcases no loss of intensity and integrity for Kittie, as the band showcases their enduring strength and confrontational spew that scored big 25 years ago - now refreshed.

Morgan Lander shared her thoughts on the important milestone and the decision to revisit the pivotal release that changed the game a generation ago.

"It's hard to believe that 25 years after its release, and almost 30 years since Kittie began, people are still talking about 'Spit'. There is something truly unexplainable in why our debut album is still resonating with people, finding a new audience and has had such a lasting impact on so many."

Lander continued, "Reimagining some of these classic songs for the 25th anniversary of 'Spit' was a lot of fun and a true testament to their longevity. It reveals just how relevant in the musical landscape they still are today. We were honored to work with Garth again where it all began after more than two decades, and doing so was a cool way to pay homage to the past while updating these songs with a modern sound, bringing them into the future."

SPIT XXV arrives September 19th via Sumerian Records. Pre-order the release - HERE
