Rolling out their 20th anniversary celebration of their seminal Ashes of the Wake LP, Lamb of God have shared a second preview of the pending anniversary edition of the album due out August 30th. Following the crushing entry in "Another Nail For Your Coffin" featuring Matt Honeycutt of Kublai Khan TX and Alex Taylor of Malevolence, Lamb of God have once again teamed with LA industrial noise outliers HEALTH for a reimagining of one of their most beloved tracks. 

Debuting the HEALTH remix of "Laid to Rest", the iconic single takes on new life anchored by a monstrous throb accented by those definitive guitars and menacing synth. Understanding the assignment, HEALTH captured the intensity of the original while daring to give the entry their own stylistic signature. 

HEALTH quipped about their take on a metal classic, “Before you get angry with us for ruining your favorite song, please try to remember that Lamb of God asked us to do this remix. Enjoy!”

Randy Blythe shared how working with HEALTH was among the first items added to the agenda when it came to the anniversary campaign. “When we were discussing ideas for the 20th anniversary of Ashes of the Wake, a HEALTH remix was one of the first things we thought of. Thanks to those guys for being a part of the anniversary release.”

The release of the HEALTH remix follows the two entities successful collaboration in 2022. Debuting "Cold Blood" for HEALTH's  DISCO4 :: PART II, the single featured the entirety of Lamb of God and became one of the most discussed joint efforts of the year in the universe of heavy music. 

"Laid to Rest (HEALTH Remix)" will be featured on the 20th anniversary edition of Ashes of the Wake. The collaboration is one of a handful including entries from Justin K Broadrick of Godflesh/Jesu,  as well as the previously mentioned Kublai Khan TX and Malevolence. The album also features demo and live versions of the album’s classic songs, revisiting the lighting bottled in what would be come a definitive album in the rise of American metal. 

Lamb of the God is set to begin their eagerly-awaited Ashes of Leviathan tour opposite Mastodon this week. The run will feature both Lamb of God and Mastodoon celebrating the 20th anniversary of their respective masterpieces, playing Ashes of the Wake and Leviathan in full each night. The summer trek will feature support from iconic Slayer guitarist Kerry King along with an opening set from Sheffield aggressors Malevolence and Unearth on select dates.
