Just last month, Virginian metal titans Lamb of God debuted their first showing of new music since the 2022 impact of the band's universally-acclaimed Omens full length. "Sepsis" landed with huge effect, preceded the band's highlight set at Aftershock which would eventually lead to the live music video for the single, documenting the live devastation of the powerful track.

In the same week the band announced a massive North American 2026 headlining tour with the likes of Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy and death metal firebrand Sanguisugabogg, Lamb of God have again asserted their might with unveiling of the second single, "Parasocial Christ". The bulldozing three-minute barrage showcases an explosive performance from a elite group of players, each excelling in the role collectively and emphasizing the top rank of Lamb of God.

As for the thematic weight supporting such a hostile track, frontman Randy Blythe articulated the aggression at the core of second single. “The Information Age has birthed the attention economy, an industry worth hundreds of billions of dollars anchored in keeping eyeballs firmly glued to screens, thus generating ad revenue. Every second spent clicking and scrolling through the trivial and/or sordid details of other people’s lives, people that you will most likely never meet- celebrities, politicians, influencers- is another dollar in some already obscenely wealthy tech bro’s wallet."

Blythe punctuated the message with a critical call to action, “You are a product, and you are being sold in a marketplace you have no share in. The irony of you reading this some social media platform or music news aggregator site is not lost on me; nevertheless I hope this song might make you consider who and what you give your attention to. Fuck the clickbait, put down the phone, go live your life- it’s waiting for you out in what’s left of the real world.”

Coupled with the launch of the second single in as many month from Lamb of God, tickets for the band's massive North American tour are now available far and wide. The 27-date stretch across the United States and Canada begins March 17th in National Harbor, MD and wraps April 26th in Boston, MA with a stacked supporting roster featuring Kublai Khan TX, Fit For An Autopsy and Sanguisugabogg.
