Lorna Shore Debut Disturbing New Music Video for "Prison of Flesh"

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

The latest single previews the band's highly-anticipated album, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, dropping next month.

Just weeks away from the arrival of one of the most anticipated releases in heavy music on the year, Lorna Shore continue to ramp up the energy around their first new full length in three years, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me.

Augmenting the hype generated by the album's massive singles thus far in “Oblivion” and “Unbreakable,” - the latest preview from the album lands as arguably the most dominant - if for certain the most personal. "Prison of Flesh" is a relentless show of musical force - a track that showcases the totality of Lorna Shore. Anchored by the vocal command of Will Ramos and the technical prowess led by guitarist Adam De Micco and drummer Austin Archey, the track arrives as some of the band's finest work thus far.

Ramos spoke about how the single aligns with the expectations of what's to come from the current era of Lorna Shore. "This song is exactly what I imagine a lot of people expected of us to put out. We took all the heaviest stuff we had to create this incredibly dark, high-stress/tension song. I personally think the breakdown at the end of this is one of my favorites that we’ve ever written and I’m excited to see how people engage with this one.”

Speaking to the personal weight of the single, Ramos confided the connection he has with the track and how the real-life horrors of the David Brodsky-directed clip are a narrative that he is all too familiar with. “The lyrics for this song are about my family and our history of dementia. The idea that the world is falling apart, and about the fear of losing touch with reality. ‘They’re coming to get me’ is my way of personifying ‘demons’ or something that makes you feel like you’re losing pieces of yourself. The closer they get, the further detached you become until you’re nothing but a husk of fear and delusion.”

The latest album follows the universal acclaim of the band's pivotal fourth full length in 2022's Pain Remains. Landing on several year-ending best of lists as one of the most celebrated releases on the year, the Pain Remains cycle would ultimately catapult Lorna Shore to new heights as leaders of heavy music's new school.

In addition to the news of the band's fifth full length album, Lorna Shore will embark on a comprehensive North American headlining tour to celebrate the arrival of I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me. The tour will be bolstered by a hefty roster of support with the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadow Of Intent and PeelingFlesh all joining rank.
