Los Angeles Hardcore Upstarts Engine Drop Demo on Rebirth Records

Sourcing 90's hardcore, the collective embraces an old school sound on their five-track debut.

Comprised of members of outfits like Enkased and Leave No Doubt, Engine is among a flourishing new class of California hardcore.

Conceived with the intentions of paying homage to a bicoastal snapshot 90's hardcore, the band's sound is akin to pillars like Supertouch and Outspoken - fusing driving guitars with mid-tempo entries anchored by plenty of shout-along gang vocals.

Working with Colin Knight at Paradise in Orange County. the band's humble start was only to tip their hat to their influences and maybe land a few opening sets with friends on regional shows. Upon completing the five-track demo, a chance email to Rebirth Records eventually led to the band's properly releasing the songs on the label proper.

The debut demo from ENGINE is now available digitally or as a limited release cassette, of which only 100 were made. Stream the demo from Engine and get the limited cassette format - HERE
