Following the acclaim of the band's 2020 full length release, How To Survive A Funeral, Perth metalcore stalwarts Make Them Suffer have now announced their long-awaited return to the full length format with the news of their fifth studio album. Choosing to make the November 8th release a self-titled project, the album will be released via Greyscale Records in Australia and ShartpTone Records everywhere else.

Showing a bit of patience and restraint, Make Them Suffer have been steadily reconfiguring their collective and in the process, have slowly trickled a succession of singles with "Doomswitch", "Ghost of Me" and "Epitaph" all landing a year apart from one another. That slow burn has since built into a roaring fire as the Aussie metalcore crew gear up to drop what has the potential to be their most pivotal full length effort yet.

"The decision to self-title our latest record was a significant one," explained the band. "It stands as an authentic representation of the band's sound. We loved our band name in the early years, however, through all these years of growth, we believe the songs on this album are the best representation of 'Make Them Suffer' as a name and, more importantly, as our vision for the band. The album represents years of growth, evolution of sound, and is a 'full circle' representation of that vision."

Along with the official announcement of the new album, Make Them Suffer have launched another single from the effort with the debut of the powerful track, "Oscillator". Underscoring the band's meld of electronics, big guitars, powerful percussion and impassioned vocals, the single usher in the modern era of Make The Suffer while suggesting the self-titled effort from the band, is Make The Suffer at it's most refined.

"'Oscillator' is more than just a song about screen addiction; it delves into the profound impact this addiction has on mental health," the band shares. "As we become more reliant on this constant source of stimulation, our baseline joy and excitement for life in general becomes lowered. I believe we are currently facing a mental health crisis, largely attributable to screen addiction."

The self-titled release was produced by Make Them Suffer along with frequent collaborator Jeff Dunne whose body of work includes names like Disturbed, Ice Nine Kills and Fit For a King to name a few. The album also marks a triumphant regrouping following a turbulent stretch for the band that included line-up changes, unprecedented global upheaval and a band coming to terms with reality versus expectations.

"It feels like all the pieces have come together to create a special moment in the band's career," Make Them Suffer share. "The album is the result of years of accumulation of material, experimentation, and growth. We think that really comes through in the songs. We're incredibly excited for people to hear our self-titled record, and even more excited about what the future holds. We can't wait to bring these songs to life on big stages with bigger productions, giving them the spectacle they deserve."
