Among alt's ascending new blood, Kami Kehoe has amassed a passionate following with an online community of devotees that have positioned her as rock's next on deck. Propelled by the viral impact of her hit, "SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD" Kehoe's potent meld of spacey shoegaze, polished metalcore and hip-pop sensibilities make her a musical force primed for the modern era.
As further indication of her fast-rising stock, Kehoe was recently recruited as part of the fall 2025 U.S. tour supporting Seether along with rock heavyweights Daughtry and P.O.D. Along with the announcement of the upcoming tour, Kehoe has confirmed the arrival of her new EP, Kandy.
The announcement follows an online rollout that teased new music and a new beginning, tallying millions of views and ramping up the anticipation for what's to come from Kehoe. Coupled with the news of the EP, Kehoe has shared the first single from the project with "DOPAMINE". The teaser alone drew such significant interest that release of the forthcoming EP was moved up to July 18th to better met the demand of the fans.
As for the first single in "DOPAMINE," the track showcases Kehoe's prowess as a songwriter and commanding musical force. Backed by an emotive performance throughout, the momentum behind the single and the forthcoming EP make Kehoe an artist to watch.
Sharing some insight on the single, Kehoe reflected on the headspace that inspired the track and elaborated on how the song is indicative of the EP as whole.
"I wrote “DOPAMINE” when I was at a pretty low spot in my life, this song really healed something in me and I hope it can do the same for anyone who needs it."
Kehoe continued, "I was going through a break up while writing this EP, each song helped me get through my heartache. I was able to pull from my own experiences from my perspective and there’s. The main concept of this entire EP is that even when something is good or feels good doesn’t always mean it’s good for you. I use a lot of metaphors relating to candy, drugs, and all these “wrong” things that may feel right sometimes and compared it to how I felt with my past relationship. I hope this EP can help anyone who needs it like it did for me."
Kandy, the new EP from Kami Kehoe arrives July 18th via Coup D'Etat Recordings and 10K Projects. fans can pre-save the EP - HERE
