Monolith, Australia's festival-scaled celebration of prog marks it's 2024 installment with the news of Coheed and Cambria earning top billing for their November dates. Set for Brisbane on November 2nd, Melbourne on November 9th and Sydney on November 10th, the event will also feature workshops, panels, market stalls and DJs in crafting a complete festival experience for Australian prog fans.
For thieir first appearance in the region since 2016, Coheed and Cambria will be performing their celebrated album, Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through Madness, in its entirety. Additionally, Coheed and Cambria will take part in a curated Q&A panel: Celebrating 20 Years Of The Amory Wars: The Past, Present And Future. The panel with Claudio Sanchez will explore the band's breadth of graphic novels and comics, illuminating the complete universe of Coheed and Cambria.
Among the artists featured for Monolith 2024, Periphery will be performing selections from, Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre. Norwegian collective Leprous will also join the festivities, trekking in support of their highly-anticipated pending release, Melodies of Atonement, due out later this year.
Monolith will also feature performances from instrumnental outfit, Intervals, European progressives Novelists and will showcase Australian talent on the same stage with Melbourne's own Silver Fang making their mark on the Monolith stage.
In addition to the Q&A with Claudio Sanchez, Monolith will also feature an interactive element with guitar and drum workshops with Periphery, Keyan and David Parkes among the featured options.
Knotfest Presale for Monolith 2024 are set to go on sale July 17th 9am AEST. General on sale tickets will be available starting Friday July 19th at 9am AEST.
