Arguably one of the most definitive and most distinct albums of the Y2K era of American metal, Mudvayne's mammoth full length debut L.D. 50 would introduce the band to a global audience. A staggering combination of force and technicality, the effort was produced by Garth Richardson along with the band and included the oversight of names like Steve Richards and one, Shawn "clown" Crahan.
Revisiting the magnitude of the album, Mudvayne have announced plans to commemorate the 25th anniversary of L.D. 50 with a silver anniversary tour. Nearly 25 years to the day of the initial release, Mudvayne will take to the road to perform some of their most beloved and enduring entries from L.D. 50 live, spanning auditoriums, amphitheaters and arenas on the run.
Emphasizing the generational reach and impact of Mudvayne, the band has recruited a powerful one-two as live support for the tour. Purveyors of evil disco in Static-X will serve as direct support on the run with heavy music's new blood in Vended taking on the task of opening the tour. The tour is set to kick off September 13th in Waukee, IA. Closing out with an arena play, the trifecta of Mudvayne, Static-X and Vended will lead the finale at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on October 26th to finish out strong.
Tickets for Mudvayne's 25th anniversary tour of L.D. 50 are set to go on-sale May 9th at 10am local time. KNOTFEST.com will be hosting an exclusive pre-sale event.
