Neurosis To Perform Two Sets at Roadburn Festival 2027

The band will perform two sets next April in Tilberg for one of heavy music's most respected, specially-curated events.

Atmospheric post-metal titans Neurosis continue their triumphant return following the band's first live set in seven years at Fire In the Mountains last month. Celebrating the arrival of the band's lauded new album, An Undying Love For A Burning World, the band have added to their selective run of live dates with a special appearance at the 2027 installment of Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands next April.

Organizers have shared the following with the recent confirmation for next year's festival curation. "All bands that perform at Roadburn are woven into the festival’s history, but few have the presence and power to help truly define Roadburn. Neurosis is unquestionably such a band. With new album An Undying Love For A Burning World, claiming a spot in the upper echelons of the Neurosis discography, and having just performed their first show in almost seven years at Fire In The Mountains, we’re absolutely over the moon to be able to announce that Neurosis will return to Roadburn in 2027. They will perform two sets, the details of which will be revealed further down the line."

Guitarist/vocalist Steve Von Till spoke about the band's decision to perform in Tilberg i April of next year. “There are few places in the world that feel like home to our music the way Roadburn does; where we are in the company of kindred spirits who share our endless obsession for emotional, genre defying, independent heavy music. Roadburn is a place where the fourth wall, that imaginary boundary between artists and audience, dissolves as we all become one: a community that gathers together to honor and celebrate the healing power of intense dark music as a way to stay sane in an insane world. Now, as we have re-emerged from the darkness with the album of our lives, we can’t imagine making our return to Europe in any place other than Roadburn.”

For the remainder of the year, Neurosis have a handful of live dates including a supporting set with Acid Bath in North Carolina next month along with two special headlining dates in San Francisco this October.

Earlier this year, KNOTFEST caught up with Neurosis to discuss their return and the decision to write and record a new album with vocalist/guitarist Aaron Turner. See the clip below.
