Among the most anticipated releases in heavy music on the year, Orbit Culture's Death Above Life has finally landed via Century Media and is already tallying impressive reviews. In celebration of the album's release, the Swedes of Orbit Culture surprised fans by popping out for an epic underplay, taking over Knucklehead Hollywood for a Monday night rager that brought the Wall of Death to the close confines of the rock bar.
Announcing the performance just hours ahead of doors, the fans packed in for the chance to get up close and personal with the band. Along with a signing session, the event at the beloved Los Angeles heavy music destination evolved into a special, intimate showcase - one that packed mainstage spectacle into tight space of a local watering hole.
Performing selections from the album, Death Above Life, the band managed to execute the full magnitude of the songs in the close quarters of the venue - making for an especially memorable night for both the fans and the band. Frontman Niklas Karlsson challenged the fans to disregard the lack of elbow room and execute a wall of death - to which the fans happily obliged.
Exclusive clips from the performance can be found below.
The surprise performance not only showcased the enormity of the band's newest full length, but also offered s glimpse of the band's new live set which will be unleashed on their upcoming EU/UK headlining tour set to begin later this month. The Death Above Life tour positions Orbit Culture has proper headliners, leading a mighty bill that features Gaerea and Atlas as supporting artists. The trek begins October 21st in Hamburg, Germany and draws to a close on November 30th in Copenhagen, Denmark.
