Pressing forward towards the June 6th arrival of their fourth full length studio album, metallic hardcore amalgam Orthodox have issued a resounding statement of their songwriting prowess and their musical ferocity with the anthem, "Sacred Place".

Though the track has become an essential in the band's live set for during this most recent touring cycle, capturing that livem visceral experience on record proved to be a tough assignment that the band was more that up to. The fury of bombastic percussion, dissonant guitars and Adam Easterling's urgent, volatile vocals make for a preview that suggests Orthodox might have a classic on their hands.

Speaking on the excitement surrounding the single's release, Easterling explained how the priority was about preserving the energy that the song tapped into live and ensuring that translated to the record.

“Every now and then, if you’re lucky, you end up writing a song that you’ll be stuck playing for the rest of your career. I have a strong feeling that ‘Sacred Place’ could be ours. We knew once we put a bow on what was then called ‘Chameleon’ (the working title), that we had something special on our hands. We immediately started playing it live, and have been for nearly a year, which cemented that feeling.”

The pending full length was produced by Randy LeBoeuf (Jesus Piece, Kublai Khan TX, Dying Wish) and touts a strong roster of special guest contributors. Among the names featured on the album include Andrew Neufeld of Comeback Kid, Matt McDougal of Boundaries and Brann Dailor of Mastodon.

Orthodox will be out on the road in support of A Door Left Open with an extensive headlining US tour. Following a pair of dates with Illinois' Harms Way next month, the band will take on a lengthy summer run with support from Mugshot, Omerta and fromjoy. The tour will kick off with a hometown album release show on June 21st in Nashville with additional support from Year of the Knife and Inclination.
