Following his triumphant final performance and his final bow with Black Sabbath in Birmingham last week, The Prince of Darkness has confirmed he will revisit his incredible life story one more time with the release of his memoir, Last Rites, due out October 7 via Grand Central Publishing.
The book will focus on Ozzy's recent health struggles and his ongoing battle with Parkinson's Disease. The book will also revisit Ozzy's 2019 accident in which he never fully recovered, ultimately sidelined him from touring.
Last Rites will also include Ozzy's most recent chapter, reflecting on his historic homecoming at Back to the Beginning - a career-encapsulating event that featured a legendary line-up of artists all paying homage to the forefathers of heavy metal.
Ozzy shared his thoughts on penning his final memoir and punctuating his indelible legacy. “People say to me, if you could do it all again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything? I’m, like, fuck no. If I’d been clean and sober, I wouldn’t be Ozzy. If I’d done normal, sensible things, I wouldn’t be Ozzy. Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can’t complain. I’ve been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I’ve done good… and I’ve done bad. But right now, I’m not ready to go anywhere.”
Last RItes, the memoir of Ozzy Osbourne will be available October 7th. Pre-orders are currently available via HachetteBookGroup.com - HERE
