Quickly setting a high bar for the new year, Swiss aggressors Paleface Swiss are marking the arrival of their newest full length studio effort, Cursed, with the debut of a stirring new single in "River of Sorrows".

Following the acclaim of powerful album previews in "Hatred", "My Blood On Your Hands" and "Love Burns", the fourth single in the effective succession serves as arguably the most emotive, with frontman Marc “Zelli” Zellweger delivering a moving performance and a profound show of his musical range.

Running with the album's theme of each track being represented by a specific flower, "River of Sorrows" has the Purple Hyacinth as its symbol. The flower emblematic of heavy emotions of sorrow, regret, and forgiveness that fuel the emotive entry.

Zellweger further explained the inspiration for the especially moving single. “‘River of Sorrows’ is about the emotional weight of betrayal and the drowning feeling of being trapped in a one-sided connection. It’s heavy in every sense of the word—musically, lyrically, emotionally—and it’s a piece that feels deeply personal while also being universally relatable. We wanted to bring those feelings to life in a way that would truly resonate with listeners.”

As for the depth of Cursed, Zelli also shared how this release is especially significant in the story of Paleface Swiss. While the last few years have seen the band achieve important professional strides, Zelli confided how this album was a important personal triumph as well as the start of a pivotal chapter for the band.

“Cursed is the piece we’ve always wanted to create. We set out to craft a cohesive concept with our music, videos, and artwork and we're very proud of the outcome. The process of making this album has been therapeutic in ways we didn’t anticipate, and we’re beyond excited to finally share it with the world. We hope to see you at a show on our upcoming headline tours and have you sing these tracks with us”

Along with the arrival of the band's third album, Paleface Swiss are due to have their biggest touring year yet with a run of Europe, the UK and North America set to begin later this month. The run marks the band's biggest headlining stretch thus far with support from heavy hitters like The Acacia Strain and Stick To Your Guns.
