Parkway Drive Unveils Hulking New Version of Fox Footy Theme Song

The Aussie Heavyweights gear up for the start of the 2025 AFL season with a beefed up rendition of the show's iconic soundtrack. 

Packed with all the power and pyro that have become synonymous with Parkway Drive, the band have shared an epic version of the iconic theme music from AFL's Fox Footy program. Working with producer and frequent collaborator Zakk Cervini, the band debuted the track on AFL 360, and christened the new era of FOX FOOTY with a new promo shot under big match lights at Marvel Stadium.

Since the 2017 debut of the theme song, Fox Footy has become a greater part of the fanatic football culture in the region. Since its launch, the music has been reimagined the likes of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Spoonbill - but nothing like the latest iteration with parkway Drive. 

 

Fox Sports Head of Creative Charlie Lambert shared of the decision to work with Parkway Drive for the next era of the unmistakable theme music. “Footy and heavy metal may not be a partnership many would expect, but we pride ourselves on producing the type of coverage that has fans on the edge of their seats, and now we have the music to match.”

Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall shared, “When you start out as a really tiny band from Byron you definitely don’t expect to be standing in Marvel Stadium, given the opportunity to do something like this."

McCall added, “To be able to have a tune that is as iconic as the Fox Footy theme tune and weave what we do through that, we can 100% see how it works to be able to heighten the entire atmosphere... Music lifts everything up to a whole other level, from something that is already exciting to something that’s truly epic.”

The news of the Fox Footy theme song follows the band's recent confirmation of their US Summer Loud Tour set for later this year. One of the biggest summer tours of the season, The Summer Of Loud tour will feature not just a pair of rock heavyweights, but rather four marquee names all sharing the same stage for a 23-date amphitheater trek. 

Anchoring the Summer Of Loud is a quartet of some of the most bankable names in the game with Beartooth, I Prevail, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive all sharing top billing. The run will showcase a rotation of headlining performances with all four headlining bands sharing the closing duties.
