Last week, the team at Danny WImmer Presents unveiled the massive news that Metallica would anchor the 2025 edition of Sonic Temple in Columbus, OH.

Set to take place May 8th through the 11th at Historic Crew Stadium, Metallica will perform both the Friday and Sunday nights of the four-day weekend. The festival appearance is part of the band's additional slate of M72 World Tour North American dates recently confirmed. Metallica will play two unique sets, following their 'No Repeat Weekend' format.

Additionally, the mammoth was paired with the confirmation of both Rob Zombie and Alice In Chains taking on respective direct support duties for the Friday and Sunday plays. The trio of bands were the first of more than 100 artists announced in the coming months.

Now, festival organizers have begun the rollout of the roster of artists set for Sonic Temple 2025. Just days after firming up the festival's top billing, Sonic Temple has set another 7 bands for next May - all of which are marquee mainstays in their own right.

Arch Enemy, I Prevail, Alice Cooper, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Hollywood Undead, Chevelle, Tesatment and the reconfigured crossover champs Power Trip have been set for Sonic Temple 2025 - consisting of the first wave of confirmed bands of more than 100 that will take over Historic Crew Stadium.

"Every year we ask our fans who they want to see at Sonic Temple, and the answer this year was clear — Metallica! We've been trying to get Metallica to Sonic Temple for the last five years, and are ready to bring two nights of Metallica to Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio next May," shared Danny WImmer.

"This is just the start; we'll have more than 100 bands playing across 4 stages for 4 days, including Rob Zombie and Alice In Chains as direct support for Metallica. We're so excited about this lineup that we'll be announcing artists daily for the next month, so there's a lot for fans to look forward to."
