PULSE TRACKS: Essential Fall Singles From Artists On the Rise

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

We recap the releases from the month of November spanning metalcore, deathcore, electronica and more from the artists putting in the work to back their buzz.

AS EVERYTHING UNFOLDS - “WHAT YOU WANTED” (Century Media)

Among the UK’s skyrocketing metalcore prospects, As Everything Unfolds announced their signing to heavy music authority Century Media earlier this year and have begun their campaign with a emphatic reintroduction. Enlisting Dani Winter-Bates of Bury Tomorrow for a helluva collab, "What You Wanted" touts burly guitars and powerhouse performances from vocalist Charlie Rolfe along with Bates for a single that underscores the new blood emerging from the UK's dynamic heavy music scene.

THE GLOOM IN THE CORNER - "ANGEL'S WRATH WHISKEY" (SharpTone Records)

Kicking off their new full length rollout for Royal Discordance due out February of 2026, Melbourne's metalcore eccentrics The Gloom In the Corner showcase a sonic blitz on "Angel's Wrath Whiskey". Combining electronics, high octane guitars and percussion along with an over-the-top vocal performance, the track is a pure rollercoaster ride of adrenaline. Theatric metalcore with some serious spectacle, it's hard to argue there isn't something in the water down under.

MØL - "YOUNG" (Nuclear Blast Records)

Danish unit MØL assert a mesmerizing meld of weighty shoegaze, proficient post metal and even some elements of prog with a track that has been marinating with the band personnel for more than a decade. Managing to tow a fine line between beauty and brutality, "Young" is the kind of single that showcases the heavy music as high art.

PINCER+ - "YOURS TO ERASE" (Greyscale Records / 1126 Records)

Perth hardcore collective Pincer+ continue to march towards the December 12th arrival of their debut full length, Who Are You When No One's Around. The band's latest offering in "Yours to Erase" is a hostile show of force that combines emotion and execution into a 2 and half minute clobbering. Solidifying their line-up with the right personnel, the band's potential is as abundant as they are aggressive on a single that mows down everything in its path.

CARRION VAEL - "19(fucking)78" (Unique Leader Records)

True crime obsessed brutalizers Carrion Vael tap into the grizzly horror of the 70's Hillside Strangler hysteria with their latest show of technical prowess in "19(fucking)78". Guttural death metal vocals contrasted with clean parts, layered with heavy riffage, big breakdowns and hellfire percussion result in an album introduction for Slay Utterly that lives up to the precision-based punishment synonymous with Unique Leader Records. Laser-sharp and heavy AF, Carrion Vael lead a path of destruction to begin their fifth full length charge.

HERIOT - "COMMANDER OF PAIN" (Century Media)

Led by the command of Debbie Gough, the first single following Heriot's Devoured By the Mouth of Hell features production from Erik Bickerstaffe of Loathe and a final mix from Randy LeBoeuf whose resume includes the likes of Kublai Khan, Gideon, The Acacia Strain and more. Wielding a heavy stick, the track shifts from sludge to stealth - asserting the metallic fury of one of the UK's most rightfully buzzworthy bands. Dynamic and dominant, the next era of Heriot looks to ramp up the intensity with the latest single as resounding proof.

WORM - "NECROPALACE" (Century Media)

The duo of vocalist Phantom Slaughter and guitarist Wroth Septentrion have unveiled their next extreme music odyssey with the confirmation of Necropalace. The album is due out February 13th and marks the transition to new record label home, Century Media. Aligning with producer Charlie Koryn (Morbid Angel) and a final mix and master from the venerated Arthur Rizk, the collection of music offers a spiraling soundtrack that resides somewhere between enchantment and exorcism.

LIONHEART - "ROLL CALL" (Arising Empire)

California hardcore unit Lionheart ride hard for Oakland with their latest rallying cry in "Roll Call". The second single from the band's forthcoming Valley of Death II, the track showcases all the requisite hardcore elements - from heavy groove to gang vocals. A clobbering, confrontational 90-second wallop, Lionheart go all gas, no brakes with a track tailor made for the pit.

BODYSNATCHER - "BLADE BETWEEN THE TEETH" (MNRK Heavy)

Currently out in direct support of genre pillars Whitechapel, Florida deathcore standouts Bodysnatcher go for the jugular with their latest, "Blade Between the Teeth." The belligerently heavy track is explained as a "fuck you" from the have nots - an adversarial quality that resonates with the hostility of the track. Violent vocals, a corrosive breakdown and nearly three minutes of deathcore pummel, Bodysnatcher are out for blood.

NOWHERE2RUN - "DANCE TILL YOU BLEED" (Nowhere Recordings)

The creative extension of Code Orange's Jami Morgan and Eric Balderose, "Dance Till You Bleed" embodies the the dark, stylized mesh of goth, techno and industrial that has defined the duo's Bloodrave aesthetic and accompanying EP. Combining the live prowess of the Code Orange vets, along with their cinematic approach to outsider art, the tandem's embrace of dark electronica with harsh, heavy elements make for a twisted experience that is as visceral as any hardcore outing.
