Roadrunner Records Enlists Boston Hardcore Lifers, Blood for Blood

- By Ramon Gonzales -->

Strea, the band's first new song in more than two decades with the forceful return, "You're Gonna Have to Kill Me".

Following the band's celebrated appearance at For the Children in Boston over the weekend with Twitching Tongues and surging hardcore unit Haywire, Massachusetts OG Blood for Blood have announced their official return and their signing with Roadrunner Records.

Revived by founder, guitarist and vocalist Rob Lind and original bassist Ian McFarland, the current iteration of Blood For Blood have tapped into the fire and fury of the band's late 90's/early 2000's salad days, issuing their first offering of new music in some 21 years.

"You're Gonna Have to Kill Me" finds the band reclaiming their rightful position atop Boston's well-respected hardcore hierarchy, with an onslaught of metallic heft, gang vocals and an unrelenting resilience that defines the band's guts and grit. Rob Lind pointed to the bigger picture of the reintroduction, "It's a straight-up-the-pipe Blood for Blood song. Initially, it points out pop culture's fascination with criminality and outlaw nonsense. Everybody is trying to be wild, gangster, or whatever, all of which 'You're Gonna Have To Kill Me' sneers at. For all of this contempt, it ends on a really  positive note. It might even be uplifting, which is my hope."

In addition to the launch of the band's modern era via Roadrunner Records, Blood for Blood have also confirmed a set of live dates with Skinhead consisting of headlining performances and festival appearances at Toed Down in Detroit and Revolution Calling in the Netherlands.
